Handmade Paper Christmas Ornaments
Easy to make and a great way to get the kids to make ornaments every year.
SNOWMAN
Free form shaped by pouring slurry onto a screen. This snowman has a fabric scarf and a painted face. Paper used is recycled paper with a few bits and pieces still showing words. The snowman is hung with fishing line through his head.
ROUND ORNAMENTS
These were made by covering recycled plastic opaque ornaments. The heart leaf is from a geranium. One ornament is covered with two different colored rice papers and then painted. The recycled ornaments were the kind that are covered with silk, you know, the ones that are always coming unraveled.
STARS
These star shaped christmas ornaments were created by pouring slurry into a cookie cutter and then pressing. The middle star is wood and painted. Tassels hang from the two bottom points. Ribbons were added later to match the tassels. Textured paint was used for other embellishments.
